Information on the back of photos sent by my Granny (Emily Critchley, in England) to her cousin Julia Oliphant Hetherington (“Olive”, in Canada). I (Leslie) have copied everything as best I can, including misspellings and (terrible) punctuation. "Taken at Braystones near Whitehaven, Cumberland A bungalow on the beach (always windy) the only one I have of all on. taken about 34 years ago. Back from left Denis Marjorie Lenore (guest) Eric me (i.e. Emily) Alf my husband (died about 26 years ago) and Alan" Note: Alf died in 1930. The photo could have been taken in 1922 (when Lenore was about 6), and the writing on the back of the photo could have been done around 1956. Emily died in 1960.
